Zomba Urban Secondary School

Zomba Urban Secondary School is a secondary school in the city of Zomba, in Malawi's Southern Region. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Zomba lies in the Shire Highlands at the foot of the Zomba Plateau, which rises to about 1,800 metres. The town was the capital of British Central Africa and the Nyasaland Protectorate, and then the first capital of independent Malawi until the seat of government moved to Lilongwe in the mid-1970s; Parliament remained in Zomba until 1994. Chancellor College, historically the largest constituent college of the University of Malawi, is in the city, and the 2018 census recorded 105,013 people living there.
