Transhaven Chilunga Private Secondary School

Transhaven Chilunga Private Secondary School is a privately run secondary school in the Chilunga area of Zomba, in Malawi's Southern Region. Chilunga is the area that the Malawi Electoral Commission spells Chirunga. In the commission's 2025 register of centres, Chirunga is one of the ten wards of Zomba City Council, and its centres include Chancellor College of the University of Malawi and Mulunguzi Secondary School. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Zomba was the first capital of Malawi and kept that role until the mid-1970s, when Lilongwe replaced it; Parliament continued to sit in Zomba until 1994. The city had 105,013 inhabitants at the 2018 census. Its best-known feature is the Zomba Plateau, which rises to about 1,800 metres and is used for walking, birdwatching, fishing and mountain biking.
