Masongola Secondary School

Masongola Secondary School is a secondary school in Zomba City, in the Southern Region of Malawi. The school takes its name from Masongola, which the Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register for Zomba City Council lists as a ward in the Zomba City North constituency. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Entry to Form 1 follows the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE), taken at the end of Standard 8. Zomba lies at the foot of the Zomba Plateau, about 65 km north-east of Blantyre. It was the administrative capital of colonial Nyasaland and remained Malawi's capital until 1975, when the seat of government moved to Lilongwe. It is a university town and the home of the University of Malawi.
