Zomba Islamic High School

Zomba Islamic High School is a secondary school in Zomba, in the Southern Region of Malawi. As its name indicates, it is an Islamic school; the organisation that runs it has not published details online. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination, set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Zomba lies about 75 kilometres north of Blantyre, at the foot of the Zomba Plateau, which rises to about 1,800 metres. The town was the capital of British Central Africa and the Nyasaland Protectorate, and remained Malawi's capital until Lilongwe replaced it in 1975. It is home to the main campus of the University of Malawi, formerly Chancellor College, and had 105,013 residents at the 2018 census. Its Muslim community includes Yao Malawians and Malawians of Indian descent.
