Vakusi Model High School

Vakusi Model High School is a secondary school in Ntcheu, the headquarters town of Ntcheu District in the Central Region of Malawi. The school serves as an examination centre under its own name: the Malawi University of Science and Technology's first-year selection list for the 2024/25 academic year gives "Vakusi Model High School" as the examination centre of one of the students it admitted. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Ntcheu District lies on the M1 road, roughly halfway between Lilongwe and Blantyre, and borders Mozambique. It had 659,608 people at the 2018 census, most of them Ngoni, whose paramount chief is Inkosi ya Makosi Gomani. Areas of the district such as Njolomole, Lizulu and Tsangano are known for growing cabbages, tomatoes and potatoes.
