Ntcheu Community Day Secondary School

Ntcheu Community Day Secondary School is a community day secondary school in Ntcheu, the headquarters town of Ntcheu District in Malawi's Central Region. A community day secondary school (CDSS) is a government secondary school attended by day pupils rather than boarders. Malawi's CDSSs grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into secondary schools in 1998. Secondary education runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Pupils enter Form 1 after completing primary school, which runs from Standard 1 to Standard 8 and ends with the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE), also set by MANEB. Ntcheu District covers 3,424 square kilometres along the border with Mozambique and had 659,608 residents at the 2018 census. The M1, Malawi's main north–south road, is the district's principal route. Most of its people are Ngoni, and its farms are known for vegetables such as cabbages, tomatoes and potatoes.
