St Philomena Girls Catholic School is a Catholic girls' secondary school at Chisitu in Mulanje district, in the Southern Region of Malawi. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). The MSCE is the qualification on which selection to the public universities is based. Chisitu lies in the Mtenjera ward of the Mulanje Central constituency, where the Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register lists Chisitu School as a registration centre. Mulanje district covers 2,056 square kilometres, had 428,322 residents at the 2018 census, and is known for its tea estates and for Mount Mulanje, one of the highest peaks in southern Africa.
