Mpapa CDSS

Mpapa CDSS is a community day secondary school in Blantyre, in Malawi's Southern Region. It lies south of Blantyre's city centre. A primary school of the same name, Mpapa F.P. School, is listed in the Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres as a polling centre in the Naotcha ward of the Blantyre South East constituency, Blantyre District Council. Community day secondary schools (CDSS) are government day schools that developed from the former distance-education centres, which were converted into secondary schools in 1998. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Blantyre is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with about 800,000 people at the 2018 census. It grew from a Church of Scotland mission founded in 1876 and takes its name from the Scottish birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone.
