Maranatha Girls Sec School

Maranatha Girls Secondary School is a girls' secondary school on the north-eastern side of Blantyre, in the Southern Region of Malawi. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). The MSCE is the qualification used for entry to university and to most further training in the country. Blantyre is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with a population of 800,264 at the 2018 census. It grew from a Church of Scotland mission founded in 1876 and takes its name from Blantyre in Scotland, the birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone. While Lilongwe is the political capital, Blantyre remains the country's commercial and industrial capital.
