Madalitso Pvt Secondary School

Madalitso Pvt Secondary School is a private secondary school in Blantyre, in the Southern Region of Malawi. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Private schools have grown in number across the country and offer families an alternative to government secondary schools. Blantyre is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with 800,264 residents at the 2018 census. It was founded as a Scottish mission station in 1876 and named after Blantyre in South Lanarkshire, the birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone. In 1956 it merged with Limbe, 11 kilometres to the east, to form a single city, which today houses the Malawi Stock Exchange and eight designated industrial areas.
