About

Lilongwe Nazarene Secondary School is a secondary school on the northern side of Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Secondary schools in the country include government, church-run and private institutions. Lilongwe has been the capital of Malawi since 1975, when it replaced Zomba, and at the 2018 census it was the country's largest city, with 989,318 inhabitants. It began as a boma set up by the local leader Njewa around 1902, became an administrative centre in 1904 and was recognised as a town in 1947. The city is divided into numbered Areas, assigned in the order in which they were created rather than by position; Kanengo, the main industrial area, lies in the north. Fees, term dates, admission arrangements and the school's proprietor have not been published online, so phone ahead before visiting.
