Glorious Private Secondary School

Glorious Private Secondary School is a private secondary school in the north-west of Lilongwe, Malawi. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Private secondary schools, run by their own proprietors, operate alongside government and church-run schools and prepare students for the same national examinations. Lilongwe has been the capital of Malawi since 1975, when it replaced Zomba, and at the 2018 census it was the country's largest city, with 989,318 inhabitants. It began as a boma set up by the local leader Njewa around 1902, became an administrative centre in 1904 and was recognised as a town in 1947. The city is divided into numbered Areas, assigned in the order in which they were created rather than by position.
