Bangwe Community Day Secondary School is a community day secondary school (CDSS) in the Bangwe area of Blantyre, Malawi. In Malawi, secondary education runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Community day secondary schools are government day schools that take pupils from the surrounding area. They grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into community day secondary schools in 1998. Bangwe is a township on the eastern side of Blantyre city, within the area administered by Blantyre City Council. Blantyre was founded in 1876 as a Church of Scotland mission and named after David Livingstone's birthplace in Scotland. It is Malawi's main commercial centre and its second-largest city.
