St Kizito Secondary School is a school in Blantyre, the main commercial city of Malawi's Southern Region. It takes its name from St Kizito, the youngest of the Uganda Martyrs, who was canonised by Pope Paul VI in 1964. In Malawi, secondary education runs from Form 1 to Form 4. Pupils are admitted after completing Standard 8 of primary school and sitting the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE), and the course ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). Both examinations are set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Secondary schools in the country include government, church-run grant-aided, private and community day secondary schools. Blantyre is Malawi's second-largest city and its principal commercial and industrial centre. It grew from a Church of Scotland mission founded in 1876 and is named after the Scottish birthplace of the missionary explorer David Livingstone. The city stands in the Shire Highlands, and its urban area is administered by Blantyre City Council within the wider Blantyre District. Who runs the school, its fees, admission arrangements and contact details have not been published online, so it is worth confirming details with the school before travelling.
