Bright Star School

Bright Star School is a school in Chirimba, Blantyre, Malawi. Chirimba is one of the wards of Blantyre City. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres places Chirimba ward in the Blantyre City Michiru-Chirimba constituency, with Chirimba F.P. School as the ward's polling centre. The area is also one of the city's eight designated industrial areas, alongside Makata, Ginnery Corner, Maselema, Limbe, South Lunzu, Maone and Chitawira. In Malawi, primary education runs from Standard 1 to Standard 8 and ends with the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE); secondary education runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). Both examinations are set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Blantyre is Malawi's second-largest city and its centre of finance and commerce, with 800,264 inhabitants at the 2018 census. It was founded in 1876 through the missionary work of the Church of Scotland and is named after Blantyre in Scotland, the birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone.
