Nkhorongo CDSS

Nkhorongo CDSS is a community day secondary school in Nkhorongo, on the northern side of Mzuzu in Mzimba District, Malawi. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres lists Nkhorongo CDSS as a polling centre in the Lupaso Nkhorongo ward of the Mzuzu City North constituency, under Mzuzu City Council. Community day secondary schools grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted in 1998, and take day students rather than boarders. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination, set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Mzuzu is the capital of the Northern Region and Malawi's third-largest city, with 221,272 residents at the 2018 census. It lies in a gap in the Viphya Mountains on the M1 highway, grew up around the Commonwealth Development Corporation's tung oil estate established in 1947, and received city status in 1985. Mzuzu University, founded in 1999, is also in the city. Fees, term dates and admission arrangements have not been published online.
