About

Zolozolo Secondary School is a community day secondary school (CDSS) in Zolozolo, in the north of Mzuzu, Malawi. The Malawi Electoral Commission lists it as Zolozolo CDSS. The Commission's 2025 register of voter registration centres, in its Mzuzu City Council section, lists Zolozolo CDSS as a centre in the Zolozolo East ward of the Mzuzu City North constituency. The other centres in the same ward are Ching'ambo School, Mganthira F.P. School and Zolozolo F.P. School, a full primary school. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Community day secondary schools are day schools serving their surrounding communities; they grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into CDSSs in 1998. Mzuzu is the capital of Malawi's Northern Region and the country's third-largest city, with 221,272 residents at the 2018 census. It lies within Mzimba District on the M1, the highway that runs the length of the country. The city developed from 1947 around the Commonwealth Development Corporation's tung oil estate and gained city status in 1985. It is home to Mzuzu University, founded in 1999, and the Mzuzu Botanic Gardens lie in Zolozolo. Fees, term dates and admission arrangements have not been published online.
