Mpinji CDSS

Mpinji CDSS (Mpinji Community Day Secondary School) is a community day secondary school near Thyolo town, in Thyolo District in Malawi's Southern Region. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres lists a centre named Mpinji School in the Nchima ward of Thyolo Central constituency, Thyolo District Council. The register does not say whether that centre is the secondary school or a primary school sharing the name. Community day secondary schools grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into CDSSs in 1998; as the name indicates, they teach day pupils. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations, set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Thyolo is the administrative centre of Thyolo District, which borders Blantyre District to the north and had 458,976 residents at the 2018 census. Much of the district's land has long been given over to tea estates. Fees, term dates and admission arrangements have not been published online.
