Chikolombe CDSS

Chikolombe CDSS is a community day secondary school in Thyolo District, in Malawi's Southern Region, with the postal address P.O. Box 337, Luchenza. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of established voter registration centres lists a centre named Chikolombe School in the Khonjeni ward of the Thyolo Khonjeni-Mangunda constituency, Thyolo District Council; the register does not state that school's level. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Community day secondary schools grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into secondary schools in 1998. Thyolo District lies on the Shire Highlands south of Blantyre District. It covers 1,715 km² and had 458,976 residents at the 2018 census, and much of its cultivable land has long been taken up by tea estates. Luchenza, a town with a station on the Sena railway, had 12,600 residents in 2018 and has its own municipal council.
