Mbulumbuzi Community Day Secondary School

Mbulumbuzi Community Day Secondary School is a community day secondary school (CDSS) at Mbulumbuzi in Chiradzulu District, in Malawi's Southern Region. It stands near the CCAP church at Mbulumbuzi. Mbulumbuzi lies in the Mbulumbuzi-Magomero ward of the Chiradzulu Nyungwe constituency, Chiradzulu District Council. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres lists the ward's polling centres, among them Mbulumbuzi School, Gologota F.P. School and Magomero Court. The Ministry of Health's facility registry lists Mbulumbuzi Health Centre, a government health centre in the same district. In Malawi, secondary education runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Pupils enter Form 1 after completing Standard 1 to Standard 8 of primary school and sitting the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE). Community day secondary schools grew out of the former distance-education centres converted in 1998, and their pupils attend daily from home. Chiradzulu District covers 761 km² north-east of Blantyre and had 356,875 inhabitants at the 2018 census. The district is closely tied to the rising led by John Chilembwe in January 1915: his Providence Industrial Mission stood at Mbombwe, and on the night of 23 to 24 January his followers attacked the headquarters of the A. L. Bruce estates at Magomero, killing the estate manager, William Jervis Livingstone.
