Molapo Bush Camp

Molapo Bush Camp is a campground at Kachikau, a village in the Chobe Enclave of Chobe District, northern Botswana. In Botswana the term "bush camp" is used for small camps in rural and wildlife areas. These range from basic pitches for self-sufficient travellers to serviced tented camps, so the name alone does not show what a particular camp provides. Kachikau is one of the villages of the Chobe Enclave, an area of community land lying between Chobe National Park and the floodplains of the Chobe River, which marks the border with Namibia. The village has primary and secondary schools and a health clinic. Chobe National Park is known for one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa, and the district is one of Botswana's principal wildlife-tourism areas. Its main town, Kasane, lies to the east, close to the point where Botswana meets Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Pitch types, facilities, rates and booking arrangements have not been published online, so the camp should be telephoned before travelling.
