Lotus International School

Lotus International School is a school in Area 9 of Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. Malawi's school system has two main stages. Primary school runs from Standard 1 to Standard 8 and ends with the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE); tuition has been free in government primary schools since 1994. Secondary school runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). Both examinations are set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Lilongwe has been Malawi's capital since 1975, when it replaced Zomba, and it grew from fewer than 20,000 people in 1966 to 989,318 at the 2018 census. The city is divided into numbered Areas, from Area 1 to Area 58, which were numbered in the order they were developed rather than by position. Area 9 is where Civo Stadium stands.
