Iponga Community Day Secondary School

Iponga Community Day Secondary School is a community day secondary school (CDSS) at Iponga, Karonga District, Malawi. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres, in its Karonga District Council section, lists Iponga CDSS as a polling centre in the Iponga ward of the Karonga Songwe constituency. Iponga F.P. School, a full primary school, is listed in the same ward. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Community day secondary schools grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into CDSSs in 1998. Karonga District lies in the far north of Malawi, in the Northern Region. The Songwe River forms its northern boundary with Tanzania, and Lake Malawi lies to the east. The district's administrative centre is Karonga town, and the 2018 census counted about 365,000 people in the district.
