Chiphaso Holy Trinity Community Day Secondary School

Chiphaso Holy Trinity Community Day Secondary School is a community day secondary school south-east of Kasungu Boma in Kasungu District, in Malawi's Central Region. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 list of established voter registration centres for Kasungu District Council includes Chiphaso F.P. School, a separate full primary school of the same name, in the Chipala ward of Kasungu Central constituency. Community day secondary schools (CDSS) are government day schools that grew out of the former distance-education centres, which were converted into secondary schools in 1998. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Pupils enter Form 1 after completing Standard 8 of primary school and passing the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE). Kasungu Boma is the administrative centre of Kasungu District and lies on the M1 road roughly 130 km north of Lilongwe; "boma" is the word used in Malawi for a district headquarters. The district is one of the country's main tobacco-growing areas, Kasungu National Park lies to the west along the border with Zambia, and Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Malawi's first president, was born in the district.
