Mziza CCAP Mission (Church and Secondary School)

Mziza CCAP Mission is a Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) mission in Kasungu District, Malawi, comprising a church and a secondary school. It lies beside the M1 road about 15 km south of Kasungu Boma, the district headquarters. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres for Kasungu District Council lists Mziza F.P. School, a full primary school of the same name, as a polling centre in the Lisasadzi ward of the Kasungu West constituency. The CCAP is the largest Protestant denomination in Malawi. It was formed on 17 September 1924 by the union of the Livingstonia and Blantyre synods, which grew from Scottish missions, and was joined in 1926 by the Nkhoma Synod, formerly part of the Dutch Reformed Church. Its Malawian synods divide the country by region: Livingstonia in the north, Nkhoma in the centre and Blantyre in the south. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Kasungu District lies in Malawi's Central Region on the border with Zambia and had 842,953 residents at the 2018 census. It was the home area of Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Malawi's first president, and is the site of Kamuzu Academy.
