Chichiri Post Office

Chichiri Post Office is a post office in Chichiri, Blantyre, Malawi, and part of the network of Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC), the national postal operator. Malawi Posts Corporation was established as a statutory corporation in June 2000 under the Communications Act No. 41 of 1998, with a mandate to provide "postal and financial services and any other services incidental to transmission of postal articles". It is regulated by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) under a licence that came into operation in 2003, and its website states that it runs 180 post offices and 154 postal agencies, the latter under the jurisdiction of the district assemblies. The mail services it lists are: - ordinary mail, for letters and documents sent within Malawi and abroad - registered mail - franking machines for stamping postal articles - the Express Mail Service (EMS), its priority domestic and international service Chichiri is home to Kamuzu Stadium, the country's second-largest stadium, and the Chichiri Museum, and gives its name to the city's Chichiri-Misesa constituency. Blantyre, founded in 1876, is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with 800,264 residents at the 2018 census.
