Mr Price Home - Riverwalk

Mr Price Home - Riverwalk is a branch of Mr Price Home, the homeware chain of South Africa's Mr Price Group, at Riverwalk Shopping Centre on Tlokweng Road in Gaborone, Botswana. Riverwalk was completed in 2003. Tredinnick, the property company that developed it in partnership with the Botswana Development Corporation, puts the project's value at P100 million and names Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Mug & Bean and Orange as its anchor tenants. Mr Price Group was founded in 1985, when Laurie Chiappini and Stewart Cohen opened the first Mr Price store in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The group is headquartered in Durban and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. It launched Mr Price Home as a separate chain in 1998, and homeware now accounts for 16.8 per cent of group sales. Its other brands include Mr Price, Mr Price Sport, Miladys, Sheet Street, Power Fashion, Studio 88, Yuppiechef and NKD. The group trades in South Africa, elsewhere in sub-Saharan Africa and in Central and Eastern Europe. Gaborone lies in the south-eastern corner of Botswana, within 15 kilometres of the South African border. The modern town was founded in 1964, became the capital of independent Botswana on 30 September 1966 and had 246,325 residents at the 2022 census.
