Mahalapye Education Center

Mahalapye Education Center is an education centre in Mahalapye, in the Central District of Botswana. Schooling in Botswana runs from Standard 1 to Standard 7 at primary level, ending with the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE); through three years of junior secondary, Form 1 to Form 3, ending with the Junior Certificate Examination (JCE); and on to two years of senior secondary ending with the Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE). All three examinations are set by the Botswana Examinations Council (BEC). The Government of Botswana's list of government junior secondary schools places several community junior secondary schools in Mahalapye, among them Mahalapye, Morale, Mowana, Parwe and Pekenene. Mahalapye lies on the main road and the railway between Gaborone and Francistown, and has both a bus station and a railway station. It sits on the Tropic of Capricorn, which is marked by a monument, and recorded about 41,000 inhabitants at the 2012 census. The centre has not published what it teaches, its fees or any contact details online.
