Boiteko Trust is a non-governmental organisation in Serowe, in the Central District of Botswana. Its office is at Boiteko Junction Mall in the village. Serowe, one of Botswana's largest villages, was established in 1902 by Khama III as the capital of the Bamangwato, and the village had 47,447 residents at the 2011 census. It is the birthplace of Sir Seretse Khama, the country's first president, and of its third president, Festus Mogae. The Khama III Memorial Museum has a room devoted to the writer Bessie Head, who lived in Serowe, and the Khama Rhino Sanctuary lies about 25 km to the north. Swaneng Hill School in Serowe was the first of the Brigades movement schools founded by the educationalist Patrick van Rensburg. The village stands west of the main Gaborone–Francistown road, at the start of the road to the Orapa diamond mines. The Trust has not published its programmes, governance or office hours online, so it is worth phoning ahead before visiting.
