Salima Secondary School is a secondary school at Tsoyo in Salima District, in Malawi's Central Region. In 2024 Malawi's national computer emergency response team (mwCERT) reported that the Safer Internet Day outreach campaign, run by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) with local organisations, held a session with students at the school. The executive director of the Centre for Youth and Children's Affairs (CEYCA) discussed internet-related harms with the students and advised them on staying safe when meeting people first encountered online. Secondary education in Malawi runs from Form 1 to Form 4 and ends with the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations, set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Salima town is the headquarters of Salima District, which lies on the shore of Lake Malawi and had 478,346 residents at the 2018 census. The town has a station on the Sena railway, and the district's lakeshore includes Senga Bay, a beach that serves as a weekend retreat for many residents of Lilongwe.
