Nkhamenya Post Office

Nkhamenya Post Office is a post office at Nkhamenya, a trading centre on the M1 road in Kasungu District, in Malawi's Central Region, about 50 km north of Kasungu town. Post offices in Malawi are run by the Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC), a statutory corporation established in June 2000 under the Communications Act of 1998 and licensed by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA). The corporation is mandated to provide postal and financial services, and it reports a network of 180 post offices and 154 postal agencies across the country. In much of Malawi, mail is collected rather than delivered to the door. Households, schools, churches and businesses commonly rent a post office box and use "P.O. Box" followed by the box number and the name of the post office as their postal address. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register lists Nkhamenya Boys F.P. School as a centre in the Chimaliro ward of Kasungu North constituency, and names the Nkhamenya Teacher Development Centre as the constituency's tally centre. Kasungu District is one of Malawi's main tobacco-growing areas, and Kasungu National Park lies along its western border with Zambia.
