About

Ngwangwa Lodge is a bed and breakfast at Lunzu, north of Blantyre city in Blantyre District, Malawi. Lunzu is a trading centre on the main road running north from Blantyre towards Lilongwe. The Lunzu is also one of the rivers that drain the northern part of Blantyre, and South Lunzu is one of the city's eight designated industrial areas, alongside Makata, Ginnery Corner, Maselema, Limbe, Chirimba, Maone and Chitawira. Blantyre is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with 800,264 residents at the 2018 census. It was founded in 1876 through the missionary work of the Church of Scotland, is named after the Scottish birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone, and merged with its sister town, Limbe, in 1956. Chileka International Airport lies about 14 km from the city centre. The lodge has not published room rates, facilities or a booking number online, so it is worth confirming a room before travelling.
