Ndirande Executive Lodge is a lodge in the Ndirande area of Blantyre, Malawi. Ndirande is a large, densely populated township on the north-eastern side of Blantyre, lying below Ndirande Mountain. Blantyre is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with 800,264 people at the 2018 census. It was founded in 1876 as a Church of Scotland mission and is named after Blantyre in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, the birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone. In 1956 it was merged with Limbe, 11 kilometres to the east, to form a single city. The city stands at about 1,039 metres above sea level, and Chileka International Airport lies about 14 kilometres from the city centre. In Malawi the word "lodge" covers a wide range of accommodation, from small guest houses with a handful of rooms to larger hotel-style establishments. The lodge has not published its rooms, rates or booking arrangements online, so guests should confirm that it is operating before travelling.
