National Wide Hardware Mzuzu

National Wide Hardware Mzuzu is a hardware store in Mzuzu, the main city of northern Malawi, in Mzimba District. Mzuzu is the capital of the Northern Region and, with 221,272 residents at the 2018 census, the third-largest city in Malawi. It lies in a gap in the Viphya Mountains, in hilly country of miombo woodland, and stands on the M1, the country's main north-south highway. The city grew up around the Commonwealth Development Corporation's tung oil estate, set up in 1947, and gained city status in 1985. Mzuzu University was founded there in 1999. The surrounding area is known for timber from the Viphya plantations south of the city, and for tea, rubber and coffee. Although Mzuzu has its own city council, it lies within Mzimba District.
