Namilango Primary School

Namilango Primary School is a full primary school in South Lunzu, on the northern side of Blantyre, Malawi. The Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres lists Namilango F.P. School as a polling centre in the South Lunzu ward of the BT City South Lunzu constituency, under Blantyre City Council. F.P. stands for full primary: a school that teaches all eight standards. Primary education in Malawi runs from Standard 1 to Standard 8 and ends with the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examination, set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Tuition has been free in government primary schools since 1994. Blantyre was founded in 1876 as a Church of Scotland mission and takes its name from the Scottish birthplace of David Livingstone. It became a municipality in 1895, the first in the country, and merged with neighbouring Limbe in 1956. It is Malawi's second-largest city and its main centre of finance and commerce, with 800,264 residents at the 2018 census.
