Mimiza Lodge is a lodge in Salima District, Malawi, in the Senga Bay area east of Salima town. Salima is a township in Malawi's Central Region and the capital of Salima District, with 36,789 people at the 2018 census. The town has a railway station. Senga Bay, on the western shore of Lake Malawi, is the stretch of lakeshore most easily reached from the capital, Lilongwe, and has long been a weekend and holiday destination for the city's residents. Lake Malawi, which the country shares with Mozambique and Tanzania, is about 580 kilometres long and is the third-largest lake in Africa. It is known for its hundreds of species of cichlid fish, most of them found nowhere else, and fishing is a mainstay of lakeshore communities in Salima District.
