Karonga Post Office is a post office on the M1 road in Karonga, Karonga District, in Malawi's Northern Region. Malawi's national postal operator is the Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC), a statutory corporation formed in June 2000 when the Malawi Posts and Telecommunications Corporation was restructured. Based in Blantyre, it runs about 180 post offices and 154 postal agencies across the country, handling letters and parcels and offering financial services such as domestic and international money transfers and utility and telephone bill payments. Postal services in Malawi are regulated by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA). Karonga lies on the western shore of Lake Malawi and on the M1, which links it with Mzuzu to the south. The town had 61,609 residents at the 2018 census. It grew from a British trading post established in 1883, and the Cultural and Museum Centre Karonga displays fossils found in the district, including the dinosaur Malawisaurus. Opening hours, counter services and a contact number for the Karonga office have not been published online, so anyone planning a visit should confirm them locally before travelling.
