Kapeni Primary School

Kapeni Primary School is a primary school in Blantyre, Malawi. Primary education in Malawi runs from Standard 1 to Standard 8 and ends with the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE), set by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB). Tuition has been free in government primary schools since 1994, and the PSLCE result determines selection for secondary school. Blantyre, in the Shire Highlands, is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce and its second-largest city, with 800,264 people at the 2018 census. It was founded in 1876 through the missionary work of the Church of Scotland, on a site chosen by the missionary Henry Henderson, and had attained municipality status by 1895, making it Malawi's oldest municipality.
