Chigo's Garden

Chigo's Garden is a garden on the M1 road in Blantyre, in southern Malawi. The M1 is Malawi's main north-south trunk road. It runs for about 1,140 kilometres from the Tanzanian border at the Songwe River through Mzuzu, Lilongwe and Blantyre, and from Blantyre continues south-east, descending to the Shire River on its way to the Mozambican border at Marka. Blantyre is Malawi's second-largest city and its centre of finance and commerce, with 800,264 residents at the 2018 census. It grew from a Church of Scotland mission founded in 1876 and is named after Blantyre in Scotland, the birthplace of the explorer David Livingstone. In 1956 it merged with neighbouring Limbe to form a single city. What Chigo's Garden offers, who runs it, its opening hours and a contact number have not been published online.
