Chankhandwe Farm is a farm on the D85 road in Kasungu District, in Malawi's Central Region, about 25 km south-west of Kasungu town. A school of the same name, Chankhandwe F.P. (full primary) School, appears in the Malawi Electoral Commission's 2025 register of centres, in the Lisasadzi ward of Kasungu West constituency, Kasungu District Council. Malawi's public roads are classified as main (M), secondary (S), tertiary (T) and district (D) roads, and the prefix marks the D85 as a district road. Kasungu District is one of Malawi's main tobacco-growing areas, with farming that ranges from family smallholdings growing maize, the staple food, to commercial tobacco estates. Kasungu town, the district headquarters, lies on the M1 between Lilongwe and Mzuzu, and Kasungu National Park stretches along the district's western border with Zambia. The district is also the birthplace of Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Malawi's first president. What the farm grows, whether it sells produce to visitors and directions along the D85 have not been published, so it is best to phone ahead before travelling.
