Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) - Ndirande Clinic is a sexual and reproductive health clinic in Ndirande Township, Blantyre, Malawi, run by Banja La Mtsogolo, the Malawi programme of MSI Reproductive Choices. The Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority's dispensing licence register records licence PMPB/DL/593, issued on 4 September 2017 to "BLM Clinic (Ndirande)" in Ndirande Township, Blantyre, with BLM's Blantyre head office as the correspondence address. A dispensing licence allows a clinic to supply medicines to its own patients; the PMPB prefix dates from the authority's predecessor, the Pharmacy, Medicines and Poisons Board. The same register lists more than 20 other BLM clinics, including Zingwangwa, Chilomoni, Bangwe and Ginnery Corner in Blantyre. Banja La Mtsogolo was established in 1987 to widen access to sexual and reproductive health services. MSI Reproductive Choices states that the programme works across 28 districts and provides about 65% of Malawi's contraceptive services. Across its network, BLM offers short- and long-acting contraception, permanent methods, post-abortion care, maternal and child health services, cervical cancer screening, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. Ndirande is a large, high-density township north-east of Blantyre's city centre, below Ndirande Mountain, one of the hills that ring the city.
