All Creatures Lilongwe Vet Centre

All Creatures Lilongwe Vet Centre is a veterinary centre on Khongoni Street in Lilongwe, Malawi. Lilongwe began around 1902 as a boma set up by the local leader Njewa, became an administrative centre in 1904 and was recognised as a town in 1947. It replaced Zomba as the capital of Malawi in 1975 and is now the country's largest city, with 989,318 residents at the 2018 census. The city lies on the central plateau along the Lilongwe River. It is divided into numbered Areas, from 1 to 58, assigned in the order in which they were developed rather than by position, so neighbouring districts can carry very different numbers. The newer city centre on Capital Hill holds government institutions, embassies, hotels and offices, while the Old Town has the markets, bus stations, cafés and restaurants. The centre has not published its services, fees or appointment arrangements online, so it is sensible to telephone before bringing an animal in.
