Tyre World Gaborone West is a tyre shop on Old Industrial Street in Gaborone, Botswana, trading under the Tyre World name. Gaborone was built as the capital in the mid-1960s, replacing Mafeking in South Africa as the seat of government, and has been Botswana's capital since independence in 1966. It is the country's largest city, with 246,325 people at the 2022 census, about a tenth of the national population. It lies in the south-east of the country, close to the border with South Africa, on the A1, the main north-south highway, which runs from the South African border at Ramatlabama through Lobatse, Gaborone, Mahalapye, Palapye and Francistown to the Zimbabwean border at Ramokgwebana.
