Tsutsubega Lodge and Campsite is a lodge and campsite in the Maun area of Botswana's North-West District, also known as Ngamiland. Maun is the administrative centre of the North-West District and, with 85,293 residents at the 2022 census, the second-largest village in Botswana. It was founded in 1915 as the tribal capital of the Batawana, who moved their seat there from Toteng, and its name comes from a Seyei word meaning "the place of river reeds". The settlement stretches along the Thamalakane River and is linked to Francistown by the A3 highway. Maun is often called Botswana's tourism capital. Many safari and air-charter operators are based in the village, which is the usual starting point for trips into the Okavango Delta, the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Tsodilo Hills, and Maun International Airport makes it a major transport hub. Rates, facilities, booking arrangements and contact details for the lodge and campsite have not been published online, so travellers should confirm availability before setting out.
