Kanamo Pastoral Centre, Mahalapye

Kanamo Pastoral Centre is a pastoral and retreat centre in Mahalapye, in the Central District of Botswana. Mahalapye is a town in the Central District with about 41,000 inhabitants. It lies on the main road between Gaborone, the capital, and Francistown, the country's second most populous city, and sits on the Tropic of Capricorn. The town has a railway station and a bus station, and its position on the main north-south route makes it a common stopping point for travellers. The Central District is the largest of Botswana's districts by both area and population, with 706,135 residents at the 2022 census. Its administrative centre is Serowe, and it covers the traditional homeland of the Bamangwato.
