The Botswana Muslim Association Halaal Authority's list of halaal-certified entities, dated June 2026, includes "Honchos – Game City Mall" among the franchised outlets and restaurants of Greater Gaborone. The same list names a second Gaborone outlet at RailPark Mall. Honchos is a flame-grilled chicken franchise. According to the brand's own website, it opened its first store in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, in 2005 and has since expanded across the border with stores in Lesotho, Eswatini and Botswana. The brand's published menu centres on flame-grilled chicken, alongside burgers, wraps, sandwiches and hand-cut chips, in flavours such as Lemon & Herb and Flaming Chilli.
