Goalestown Estate is a rental housing estate at Maruapula in Gaborone, Botswana, owned and let by the construction and property development company Universal Builders Botswana (Pty) Ltd. The company's website lists it among its rental properties as "MARUAPULA (GoalesTown)". Universal Builders' page for the Goalestown Housing Complex says the estate was developed to address the need for safe, affordable, quality housing for Batswana, and that the company's own management and maintenance teams look after it once tenants move in. The page lists: - maintenance of the houses, roads, street lights and grounds - refuse collection and security - a swimming pool, gardens and picnic areas, and playgrounds - a tuck shop and a school The company's price list gives one-, two- and three-bedroom flats or stand-alone houses and four-bedroom stand-alone houses at Maruapula, with rents ranging from P1,600 to P8,000. Universal Builders describes itself as a wholly citizen-owned company. It has built housing projects in Gaborone and Francistown and lists its other investments as road networks, serviced plots, schools and universities, shopping complexes, offices, warehouses and sporting and recreational facilities. Its other rental estates are Universal Estate at Block 5 and 6, Boostown Estate in Tlokweng and Molapo Estate in Francistown. Tenants can pay rent through the company's website, which adds a 2.5 per cent bank charge to online payments.
