Glen Valley BDF Clinic

Glen Valley BDF Clinic is a Botswana Defence Force (BDF) clinic in the Glen Valley area of Gaborone, Botswana. Glen Valley is the site of the BDF's Glen Valley Barracks, in the Gaborone North constituency. In 2015 the government's Daily News reported that, in answer to a question from the MP for Gaborone North about accommodation shortages at the barracks, the government planned to build 180-man barrack blocks for non-commissioned officers and 24-man blocks of officers' flats at Glen Valley in 2015/16. The BDF Command and Staff College is also located at Glen Valley. The BDF was established by an act of parliament on 15 April 1977, after cross-border incursions by Rhodesian and South African forces led the government to form a standing defence force. It comprises the Botswana Ground Force and an Air Arm. The BDF has not published whether the clinic treats members of the public or only service personnel and their families, nor which services it provides or when it opens. Anyone hoping to use it should enquire before travelling.
