FNB Ghanzi

FNB Ghanzi is a branch of First National Bank of Botswana (FNB Botswana) in Ghanzi, the administrative centre of Ghanzi District in western Botswana. FNB Botswana has been listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange since 1993 and is a subsidiary of South Africa's FirstRand Group. Its 2025 integrated report, which refers to 34 years of operation, gives a national network at 30 June 2025 of 25 branches, 174 ATMs, 85 automated deposit teller machines and 1,794 CashPlus agents, with 1,628 employees. The bank is registered as First National Bank of Botswana Limited, registration number BW00000790476, and its head office is First Place, Plot 54362, CBD, Gaborone. Ghanzi lies in the Kalahari in the west of Botswana and is the centre of one of the country's main cattle-farming areas. Its communities include Afrikaners, Basarwa (San), Bakgalagadi and Baherero people. A paved road linking Ghanzi with Gaborone was completed in 1999, and the town is a refuelling stop on the long road between Kang and Maun. Its agricultural show, first held in 1974, usually takes place in August.
