DHMT Palapye

DHMT Palapye is the office of the Palapye District Health Management Team (DHMT), part of the public health service run by Botswana's Ministry of Health and Wellness in Palapye, Central District. A Botswana Daily News report from March 2013, which linked the team to Palapye Primary Hospital, describes the Palapye DHMT as providing "promotional and preventative services as well as curative services". The report covers a Botsogo Pitso, a community health meeting the team held at the village of Radisele. The hospital's chief medical officer described the approach, rooted in the principles of primary health care, as a way for health workers and residents to engage directly and to give feedback on services; the meeting covered adolescent sexual health, clinical social work and tuberculosis care. The ministry is mandated with the oversight and delivery of health care in Botswana and manages public health services at national and district levels.
